1984
August - Kung Te-cheng, Lin Chin-sheng, and Wang Tseng-tsai are appointed president, vice president, and secretary-general of the seventh Examination Yuan, respectively. Li Tsung-tao and 18 others are named members of the Yuan; Chu Shao-hua, minister of examination; and Cheng Kuei-hua, minister of civil service.
1985
May - The Education Personnel Employment Statutes are promulgated.
1986
January - The Civil Service Examinations Law and the Professionals and Technologists Examinations Law are promulgated.
April - The Civil Service Employment Law is promulgated.
July - The Civil Service Performance Evaluation Law and the Civil Service Pay Scale Law are promulgated.
1988
January - The Civil Service Promotion Examinations Law is promulgated.
November - The Examination Affairs Law is promulgated.
1989
December - The Judicial Officials Personnel Statutes are promulgated.
1990
March - The Yuheng Building of the Examination Yuan is inaugurated.
