1966
June - Sun Ke and Cheng Tien-fang are appointed president and vice
president of the fourth Examination Yuan, respectively.
August - Yang Liang-kung and 18 others are named members of the
Examination Yuan, and Chung Tien-hsin is appointed secretary-general.
1967
June - The Examinations Law for Different Civil Service Classifications;
the civil service employment, pay scale, and performance evaluation
laws; and the Statutes on Comparative Pay for Veterans Transferring to
Civil Service are promulgated.
July - The Organic Charter of the Central Personnel Administration is
promulgated and the CPA is established.
November - Examination Yuan Vice President Cheng Tien-fang passes away.
1968
January - Yang Liang-kung is appointed vice president of the Examination
Yuan.
May - The first Special Civil Service Examinations A are held.
July - The Taipei City Government takes over the jurisdiction of the
Examination Yuan-affiliated Chung Hsing Elementary School and renames it
the Yung Chien Elementary School.
November - The Examinations Affairs Law for Civil Service
Classifications is promulgated.
1969
April - The Contracted Personnel Employment Statutes and the Designated
Personnel Employment Statutes are promulgated.
1971
July - Chung Chiao-kuang is appointed minister of examination.
1972
February - The Statutes on Retirement Payments for Political Appointees
are promulgated.
